Ok, i've been trying to FTP to the xbox for a while now, i change all my network settings so that they can connect to my xbox, open FlashFXP and click connect, then i type in all my information and click OK, It then says connecting and after 10 seconds it says connection failed -timed out, I've tried everything, different FTP Programs, different settings, if theres anyone who knows how to help or may have an idea, please post.
-Thanks.

http://www.chefelf.com/xbox/networking.phptry this. also enable settings in Evox, check firewalls, if you have service pack 2 turn off that crappy firewall . make sure you use right cable for your situation.

main thing is to check firewalls on your computer. zone alarm, norton, windows built in firewall, they are all evil, get rid of all them. other than that, just make sure each computer has the same subnet mask and any IP will work, as long as they don't have the same IP that == bad. so set the pc to like 192.168.1.1 and the xbox to like 192.168.1.2 both with the subnet of 255.255.255.0 and you shouldn't have any problems. also make sure you are using a crossover cable and not a straight-thru.

I got myself a crossover cable yesterday and couldnt get it to work and found this site when looking for help and tried all the help on here and couldnt get it work.
But what was strange when trying to use Flashfxp it keep failing to connect even with everything right I then tried it after I had started DVD2XBox then tried to connect with Flashfxp and it connected right away and no problem since. Just hope this may help anyone else who may have the same problem.
Anyway thanks for all the help.
