Three new writers (that know not a thing about wrestling) have been hired to the WWE creative team recently.
One of them, a female brought in from the Nickelodeon channel, asked JBL recently how they made the "fake blood"
continue to look like it was flowing out of his head.
I might have missed seeing wcw dying but damn i got front row this time!

WWE will never die. They are too powerful, still have and make tons of money each year and although the product sucks at times they still draw. And with the additions of Brock Lesnar, Jamie Noble and Spanky, who knows what will happen....especially after Smackdown *reportedly* will fold in 2006.............
The next couple years will sure be interesting for professional wrestling.

Didnt WWE almost die during the monday night wars? i remember hearing them say that
on the dvd.. they said they were very close to going down.
then again they might have been exagerating to make it all seem more dramatic..
And Noble & Spanky will be fed to Brock, thats the way it has always been in WWE.
but yeah, gonna be some interesting years, and i wont miss smackdown..

well.. their televised presence did get it ass kicked for awhile.. but they were still doing well on PPV and house shows at the time.. so there wasn't much chance of thm actually folding during the monday night wars.
With Brock about to sign his new deal.. and Noble and Spanky coming back.. it's at least a sign they are willing to try some shit.
I think from now one.. we are going to see a lot of in and out talent. People come in for 6 months.. do their thing.. dry up.. and get a pink slip. Then get asked back in a year or two.
This actually works well for tv and for the audience.. as we get refreshed characters and stories.. or at least that's the way it was back in the territories days.
With the old/new writers.. for al we know it's going to end up like Coronation Street

they need to get back to the basics.
wwe was never bigger when they had ston cold running around wipping everyones ass.
the wwe needs to realize that if they ever want to rise back up to the rung that thay used to occupy in the past, they need to give the fans something that they can relate to. i mean back in the day, who didnt wish they could come to work with or without an invintation and drink beer, flip people off, and kick the bosses ass. it was interesting.
it was american.

I would like to see more of Austin, Damn the Rock I hate him for turning his back on the fans. Good news about Noble he should push for a cruiserweight title or US strap. I would also like to see the hardcore strap and match's come back. Back when Foley, Al Snow and Hardcore Holly fought over the title those were match's that I liked Smackdown needs something to help it or else it going down the shitter soon.

WWE doesnt need to rehash old stars to be more successful. The reason WWEE was so successful with the Rock, Stone Cold and DX was because WCW beat them in the ratings 82 straight weeks. Nowadays, with little to no competition, WWE doesnt have to worry about pulling high ratings every week because they know that fans who want to watch wrestling every week has only one alternative. And unfortunately the majority of WWE fans are partially or compleely oblivious to the independent wrestling scene. They dont realize that Ring of Honor is around and doing, in some cases, much better storylines and matches than WWE.

WWE ain't going anywhere. Didn't vince say yesterday that wwe raw got a 9.0 rating or smething like tat and it was the highest ever in television history. And raw is going to the usa network so that will probably give more ratings since that is one of my favorite networks.

does anyone know why the wwe left the USA network anyway?
it just seams like when they moved over to spike thats when it started going down hill imo.

Aug 3 2005, 05:46 AM
Let's see if I remember this correctly...
It's was about time for WWF/E to renew their contract with USA Network...Vince wanted more money...USA said no...Spike (then The National Network) offered them a deal, Vince waited for a bidding war...USA didn't bite...WWF/E moved to TNN/Spike and the rest is WrestleCrap. Now it seems to be the opposite.

lets just hope Spike doesnt bury TNA like they did ECW.......though i did hear that one of Spike's conditions was that TNA had to buy all their airtime, effectively making iMPACT an infomercial every week but i think that was resolved.

I would like to see Shane and Stephanie McMahon back anyone have any word on them?

Steph, who is of course married to HHH, is busy behind the scenes with HHH's conversion to power once Vince steps down. Shane has an office job with WWE but im not sure exactly what it is. He has shown little interest in returning on camera anytime soon.

Man that sucks, Shane was a good "wreslter" he took alot of risks and "bumps" HHH is going to Smackdown at least that's what I heard. I just hope they reinvent the light heavywieghts or cruiserweights as some people call them, I heard that the guy who played D-Lo Brown might come back I don't know why but I though D-Lo was a good guy.

Triple H is not going to smackdown. He will feud with John Cena in the next couple months. And as far s the cruiserweights go they are pretty much done now that Vince told them to tone down the high flying stuff. Vince wants them to wrestle the same as the heavyweights. And I have heard nothing about DLo returning.

Vince never really gave 2 shits about the cruiserweight division anyways, especially after WCW folded. And you're right, HHH doesn't work Tuesdays...
And I'd just assume Steph and Shane stayed off TV. Steph sucks the life out of the show (since it's her being the center of attention each show she's on) and Shane is only good as a bumping machine, and that gets boring real quickly.
I'd just assume watch Hustle if I could, with the likes of Hustle-K and Razor Ramon HG. Sure Hustle is the inside joke on wrestling, but they constantly make fun of WWE AND it's actually entertaining. Where else could you find the main antagonist of the Hustle Fighting Opera (their term, not mine) to be a rip-off of sorts of M. Bison?

I'll tell you what...back when I was coming into age I could watch that shit all night and go through an entire bottle of hand lotion!

Well, there's always Dangerous Ladies of Wrestling, or whatever the name of it is this week...with G.I. Ho, and The Smoke as Commissioner.

WWE really screwed up with this one. Friday night smackdown will still air on Thursday nights on the score (Canadian TV) and will still be taped on tuesdays. Anyone catch the new Tag team on monday night? they suck, Big Vis and Val Venis as a tag team makes sense but are boring to watch. I would like to see Tyson Tomco and Chris Masters tag team but looks like Masters and Shawn will be fueding for a while. Vince has trying to turn Masters into a "face" (good guy). I think Ric Flair will win the I.C. starp and lose it within a week or two back to Carlito. Looks like the Big Show might get a "push" and win this years Royal Rumble and face either Batitsa or who ever is the champ at the time.

Big show has only fought no names lately, why is that? And when, if anybody knows, is Rock and HHH coming back? Somebody needs to shut Cena up, that guy annoys me. Besides, I think he tries to pull off the "bad boy" bit a little to hard.
Thanks

Big Show has only fought realtive no names lately because WWE has no long term plans for him yet. HHH is scheduled to be on the raw premiere on USA in a month and rumor is that Rock will be there too. As for cena, I agree but not quite in those words. WWE is trying to push Cena to Stone Cold circa 1997 level, which isnt really working too well.

not well at all...terrible actor...but he does bring the fans I guess.
More names I kinda thought of after my last post...Van Dam. Anybody know how his knee is doing? I'm kinda hoping he gets back so he can take revenge on Carlito.
And I guess finally, Kane? What happened there?

Damn didn't know people actually thought this much about wwe. I watch it every once and awhile when theres nothing else on. But whats the point of studying it so hard guys? Its all fake and we all understand that. Maybe youll enjoy it more once you actually accept that it is fake and watch it just for the entertainment of it. Its basically a soap opera for guys so why not just sit down turn it on and have some laughs?????

He should be returning to raw in the next month or two.

He had a book that came out recently and a movie to film as well.

Maybe you and all the 12 year olds who keep harping on the fact that its "fake" would like it if you looked at it on face value. But unfortunately professional wrestling is one of those things that you either love or hate. I respect your opinions but thats all they are, opinions. 98% of professional wrestling know that its scripted, the outcomes are predetermined. But you tell Owen Hart's family or Droz's family that its "fake". You are more than welcome to have your opinions but please dont force them on the people who already know whats really going on. And please dont think your cool becaue you make it a habit to add in every topic in this section that its "fake". That just makes you even more disliked.

Yes it is fake...scripted...and a male soap opera. But fake only goes so far. Obviously, Owen Hart and Droz will tell you they gave most and all for what they loved to do. As for the guys that go out there everyday and give us guys something to watch and laugh at, get into the ring with Kurt Angle, who for the record sux, that he is fake. Tell Big Show that he is fake...the list could go on and on, but the point is that these guys would do to you what Tyson could do in his prime, and smile doing it. Most is fake, but some things actually do connect, and Im sure do not feel good
-Big Shows chest smacks have to hurt like a bitch!
-And I wouldnt want to be on the receiving end of Angle's cross-faces.
My 2 cents on "fake"

I agree, it's fake to a certain extent. you have to remember it's WWEntertainment!! Some people like to follow storyline rumors and all that, There's nothing wrong with that. It's called a hobby. Some people collect rubberbands and star wars toys, others like to watch wrestling on tv and go to shows. so what? I'm sure that guy who posted has some type of hobby that someone else might see as a waste of time. To each his own.

You can add Cris Beniot's cross face, Austin neck injury from Owen Hart, Kurt Angle's submission holds and Matt Hardy's and Edge's Monday Night free for all, just look at Shawn Micheals he's given everything for the bussiness.
