I currently have all of my DVDs ripped to the PC and plan to set it up to stream them to XBMC. I would like the ability to add meta data to the movies on the PC.

I suggest that XBMC be able to work with the following:

/Movie Name/VIDEO_TS/

In the Movie Name folder, also place:

cover.jpg
meta.txt

Others can suggest better ways to do the meta.txt but something along the lines of:

Title:Movie Name
Year:2001
Genre:Drama
Rating:PG
Staring:Bob, Chris

Other fields could be added and these could easily be read and displayed with the cover in the xbmc menu.
