the manual for installing the chameleon with a solderless adapter says nothing about the p and e points, so i was wondering if they are really necessary.

They are not required for the modchip to work, but if you want to use the features they offer, you would obviously need to install them. Hooking these two points up is (according to the Team Xodus Manual) the only way to get mode 4 to work properly, and also gives you an easy way to disable the chip.

well, i dont use xbox live, so i never really need to disable the chip in an instant. only if something really bad happens, i guess. anyway, thanks for the help
