well, follow the tutorials for opening the xbox, then its the same as installing on a PC.

On the software side, first backup your C and E drives to your PC w/ ftp, then use the Slayers auto installer disc to set up your drive, then copy C and E back to your new drive w/ ftp and your done. I think you can just look up the instructions that come with the slayer's disc and you'll be fine.

Oh, and btw I saw that drive at circuit city for $40 after $30 store and $30 manufacturer mail-in rebates. Maybe you can return it or get price matched or something.
