how mant posts do you need to reach the certain "Ranks", i was just wondering, if this post doesn't belong here, please notify the mods

Your "rank" should be earned, by offering useful, helpful information. TOO, TOO, many people post pointlessly on these forums, to simply achieve a particular rank, while in no way, shape, or form, offer any good advice. Here is some insight, though a little outdated.

Could not have put it better myself. Listen, it doesnt matter, I truly think they should do away with the ranks.

Offer helpful advice, be a good forum member, and dont worry about post count, its meaningless.

I agree that post counts should be taken away completley. That particular number doesn't mean squat, most of the users here know that, and note that I said "Most".
If you check some of the users here at the newbie forum, that have thousands of post, and they're all because of flaming the newbs.

That isn't helping.. and flamers (Unless when there's a good reason) usually take all the fun away on each and every forum.

thx guys, i realize that it doesn't matter what your rank is, but i just wanted to know what they were because i see so many people with different ranks, i was just wondering how many there were, and what they were called. so if i understand correctly, once you reach a certain number you can get a custom one??? or did i misunderstand?
