ok. im modding a version 1.6 xbox and im putting in a 200gig HDD into this sucker and there is a xenium chip for a version 1.6 xbox. im having trouble running bios on it that work. many that i try, aside from xecuter m8, all shut off his xbox and when i run the slayers disc and dl evox and the format the hdd for a larger hdd i just boots the retail dash when i run the bios.

Check the boot sequence in the m8 bios [use evtool, its a PC app]

if i can get away with not using m8 that would be great too... because m8 doesnt support a 200gig hdd

use x2 5032. its very very simple to change the boot order with. just make sure you use the right version of the bios. do not use a <1.5 bios with a 1.6. you need to flash a 1.6 mod box with a 1.6 bios. failure to do so will make children cry.

so do i HAVE to screw with the order with another program? also, i believe i tried that version and it shut off his xbox. however, i will try it again to be certain.

evtool will not unpack 5035.
even if it did unpack im not sure what im supposed to do with it in order to change the boot sequence. and im not sure why i have to. it must be a version 1.6 thing. i havnt read up on the 1.6 at all. it was just presented to me today to figure out and... well... im on the forums.

Thats the x2 bios right?

It uses a config file located on the HDD [ i think it does anyway ] So you would need that file on the HDD to change the boot sequence.
