This program has been sitting around on my computer since June 6th, but we were initially worried about protecting the code of the program. Since I have decided that I no longer really care, it is being released to the public.

Usage is simple (check the readme for further details!)
1) Acquire the HDDKeys from the Source and Destination Xboxes, save file that is to be transferred
2) Click the Resign button. Done.

Is there anyway to strip the HDD code out of someone elses save?

Sounds like a mighty useful util.

There is no way to extract the HDDKey from a save, the signatures are generated from a nonreversible hash algorithm. This is primarily a save transfer program, but I suppose if people start posting their HDDKeys with the saves on save sites, that works too.

I've got to say, thanks for this. My roommate was pissed when he found out he couldn't transfer his profile to his xbox after he started it on mine. Last night we loaded up a gamesave exploit on his and ftped it over. Everything works great!

I can't get this to work. I somehow deleted my gamesave. So I got my friend to send me his so I don't have to start completely over. He gave me his hdd key. After I enter the hdd keys in it says auth key doesn't match hacker monkey. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I just don't want to start this game over!

He didn't give you the correct HDD Key.

What else do you think the problem would be, the program works fine.

Or he changed the gamesave to advance his progress

i guys ,want to transfer my saved game info over to my new xbox,i have both hdd keys ,now for the sad part when i ftp to my xbox were do i find my forza profile, i cant see a folder in the forza directory that staits any profiles,,,,, am i missing somthing simply.
please help.

I changed my Xbox recently, but it's still got the same 250Gb unlocked HDD in it, of course the Forza save wouldn't work because the eeprom is different. I've got both HDDKey's, but it keeps telling me the auth key doesn't match. What the hell am I doing wrong?

The HDDKey should always be the same, regardless of the HDD, shouldn't it?

I was using the wrong HDD Key and I was expecting it to give me some sort of message to say it was successful.

This makes me sad... One month ago I wanted something like this as I bought a new xbox, but everyone said I had to just patch my game, which I didn't want to as I wanted to use the profile on live... In the last month I have spent about 60 hours getting back to the same stage I was at before having to start again.... 60 hours that could have been saved.

i just waited for this didn't take that long...

now if i could just get a key nd a good save..

The original intent of this tool was just so people could transfer their save to a different Xbox, not so they could download someone elses save.

xbox wasnt made so you can play backups, but we all do it anyways

Is there a way to do this without a source HDD key?

I've just used this to move a save from my chipped v1.1 (US) to my new v1.6 (UK).

Forza recognizes the save, tells me my local scoreboard are currupt so clears them, then when I load the game it hangs and I have to shutdown the box. Anyone else experience this?
