My Xbox broke. So I bought a new machine which is a 1.4. I installed a 2.6 executer in it. I took the HD from my old Xbox and popped it in this new one and it wont work. I installed the modchip and the bios correctly, but now it come up with the error screen 13.

So I loaded Slayers autoinstaller Boot CDto unlock the HD and re lock it. It said it did it, but it didnt fix it. Also in slayers it shows the partitions but all "0"'s.

I dont care if I have to loose everything on the Drive. Let me know what I have to do.

I also went into system settings with the slayers CD and it says unlock error for the HD.

My last box that broke doesnt even boot anymore and is busted. It was a 1.6 modded with a smartxx. I also loaded the same slayers autoinstaller on it.

you need the eeprom information from your 1.6 board.
Use liveinfo + the eeprom data to unlock the drive in your PC.

How do I get the eeprom data with the old XBOX not working. It is as a dead as a door nail.

Look under the tutorials, there is one about retrieving HD from a dead mobo. You're going to need to solder the eeprom chip (unless you made a backup) from the dead mobo to the new one.

If you use configmagic to lock your hard drive in your old xbox, I believe you can use atapwd utility to unlock your hard drive and the password is teamassembly.

If the board is dead, send it to me. I'll recover the eeprom in exchange for the scrap board.
