Hi guys, I upgraded my hdd to a 200gig seagate. My dvdrom is toast so I had to borrow my buddy's. I was using bios X2.4977 but found out it wasn't the *FC* one. I had to take it out and flash it and put it back. I now saw my 200 gig drive and chose the F stealth option for formatting.

I took out the drive and gave it back to him. Alas, that was the mistake for I booted up and I get the MSdash and not the Evox. Is there any button combo that will switch the boot order to F? My dillema is I can't boot off of a dvd to get the ftp server to alter the evox.ini

Well...the matrix is flashed with a bios that points to c: ... unfortunately, your files are in the wrong place. the only options i see are these:

1. Get a matrix programmer and reflash the chip with a bios that points to F:

2. Borrow the DVD drive again and run a bootdisk to regain ftp capabilities

3. Get a new DVD drive for your xbox

with an older generation chip..you dont have the tools required to fix it with the chip itself. the boot order is determined by the bios and unfortunately your chip doesnt have its own OS to ftp into or any way to web-flash the bios... so youre kinda stuck with those options.
