ok ive tried searching everywhere to find a similar case/fix but came up empty. This is a pretty hefty post because i wanted to make sure everythig was covered.
basically i have my xbox connected to my network wirelessly through a MN-740. The router is a WGT634U media router (built in USB network attached storage) to which I ahve attached a USB2.0 enclosure with a 120 gig hard drive inside.
I have the drive formated into FAT32 and separated into different partitions for music, videos and general sharing. I upped a few gigs of music and videos and they all play fine from my computers that are on the network.
Using XBMC, the videos play fine (they all have english titles and directories), but my MP3s (some are in directories with japanese and some are japanese titled themselves) refuse to work properly. If i queue the folder/partition containing the mp3s, then some of the files play and some of them dont. but if after i queue the files, i choose to go into "now playing" i get repeated error boxes complaining about "NT_STATUS_NOT_DIRECTORY". The same thing happens if i try to load a playlist (made from a computer) of the music files on the storage server through XBMC.
As of right now, my only guess is my XBMC doesnt have Japanese fonts support (im assuming this becuase ive tried switching the language to japanese using settings and i get boxes) but im not sure if this is the problem.
please help ^^
