I installed the Xodus Xenium solderless mod chip into my xbox 1.6.
I tried to load what i think was the EvolutionX M8plus_16 bios.
Now when i select the bios from the launch screen, i get the pink evox sign but i have no clue how to get the dashboard to load/work/ or even where i can find it.

I am used to modding out pc's not xbox's.

I you could help please do and in great detail like what freakin button to hit next....

get either Slayer's evox auto installer or auto installer deluxe from "the usual places" it will set up a dash and apps for you.

So what software (as in dashboards) do you have installed on your xbox? A mod chip is just the first stepping stone to running 3rd-party software or backups on your xbox. We need more information about your system.

I installed the chip, tried to load a secondary bios from evox,
and i have been looking for the evox dashboard and a way to install it since.

The pink triangular evox sign came up and then it went directly to the ms screen.
I heard it should go through an evox dashboard after the evox pink triangle appears.

I truly have no idea what i am doing here. This isn't like installing a new OS on my modded pc.

The xbox says that it won't read the disk in the drive because it isn't a movie, audio cd, or an xbox dvd. Yet the D\ drive is shown when i go to add a new launch item.

Right now i have original bios-a and evolutionx bios on my launch menu.
but like i said ... no dash.

I bought this chip so that i could play my back-up games and i am having a trying time with it.

Not that drastic but still frustrating as all hell.

but if you want to you can also use the new x2 bios the x2 5035 which will work with all consoles but you still have to change the directory but with the x2 you can change the boot colors and camera angles i reccomend it for you someone made a post exactly like this before in the bios section so you should post this in the bios section if you want to use the x2 and need to know how to get it to work check here

yes but the problem i am having is this:
I have no idea where to find the .ini file or anything about how to put this stuff on my xbox.
I have only been reading about this stuff for a few hours now and it seems harder to get anything downloaded to my pc because everyone always says to look for it in "the usual places"... lmao

I don't even know how i got this far. I have no idea what i need (exactly) to burn to a cd in order to put it on my xbox.

THAT is "the usual place" AKA #xbins, READ. it is a guide to get you onto a server where you get the files you need. I had already provided you with this--get an auto installer.

Been there, done that! But with the help of the xbox-scene tuts and forums I figured it all out. Just be patient, read the tuts and follow EVERY step. Everything is there, but it's up to you to find it.

And remember: Google is your friend!
