what does "BIOS version detection" mean?? i don't get it... is it important??? cuz its just a "?" on the enigmah2 and i want to understand its signifigance, if anyone can break it down for me and explain it it would be greatly appreciated. also, can u guyz tell me about ur enighmah experiences?
ImYoPusha
I think that there is two different bios for the XBOX.
XanTium
it means the chip will detect itself what BIOS your xbox has.
Else you have to select it yourself (with jumpers for example).
atda
what do u mean jumper? and what is this jumper step if there is any?

i just looked at gamegizmo's site and they had an explanation. thanx for the help everyone. i went to settings and then info and it siad

k 1.00.4304.001
d 1.00.4304.001

i guess that determines it right??? is there anything special now that i realize my kernal type? do i have to solder differently or anyting?

doesn't look like a big deal. i mean i don't think it should be ur main concern when choosing which chip to purchase at least

The more and more I read post the more leary I grow of purchasing an Enigmah. It seems as though they have a lot fo problems and weren't tested as thoroughly as the Extenders. You don't hear about a bunch of Extender problems, and those chips have been out for a while. Enigmah have barely started shipping and already you have like 3 versions so you don't really know what you are ordering and then some versions need patches and the list goes on and on......I may get an Extender if messiah has these problems or if I can't flash my own! ph34r.gif

ya, these enigmah problems... but i hear its just a minor thing and is easy to get around so as soon as i'm thorugh with that jumper prob then i'll have a glitchless, flawless chip that is as good as anything else? or is there a more preferred chip that is just as good as the enogmah after dealin wih its problems
?
sorry i'm new
