if you are desperate to get the G partitioned then get the evox dash and in the evox.ini file write Item "Install G Drive",@210 in the Menu Section then at the bottom of the Menu Section where all the Action Scripts are type [Action_10]
Info "Format G"
Warning "This will format your G drive"
Warning "Have a Backup!"
Progress "Formatting drive"
If you have the latest bios this should work
sorry if this is confusing

what size hd do you have, if its under 132 gigs there is no reason to make a g drive
Aug 23 2005, 10:15 PM
its 160gb and yea its a bit confusing im not 100% sure what to do, and does it matter that evox isnt my default?
Aug 23 2005, 10:17 PM
I didn't make a G partition on my 160Gig drive.

I dont know if its in my head or not, but i think i had a g partition and it just dissapeared, am im not sure if i need it exactly because i think im losing like 10gb but im not sure.
Aug 23 2005, 10:19 PM
the only way i know of doing it is through evox
Aug 23 2005, 10:21 PM
can i do it using evox as an app though, thats what i meant to ask, because i do have it but its not my default, does that matter?
Aug 23 2005, 10:35 PM
aparrently it wasnt just in my head my g partition appeared alone again but it doesnt say how much free space it has.
Aug 23 2005, 10:49 PM
First....how much space is there total on your F drive....your bios might be setup to not even use the G drive as you don't need it cause your HD is less than 255G.
Aug 23 2005, 11:04 PM
the toal was like 150gb i believe where can i find this exactly?
Aug 23 2005, 11:12 PM
If the total is 150G then you are fine. 8G is taken by the other partitions and the 160G isn't even 160GB....its 160,000,000,000 bytes....which is what the manufactures use....but computers use 1024 bytes = 1kB, 1024kB = 1MB, 1024MB = 1GB.....so you really have a total of 149G. My FTP program shows the used and free space of each drive.
