I think it's ingame. Notice how in the last real screenshot they showed just him? Now it's him and the stadium..still no fans, or other players, or anything else going on for that matter.

They might have to crank some stuff down to get the other stuff working right.

It looks ingame to me and it's impressive I'd say. I think for this generation of football games to really shine through is the weather effects. It looks like a cloudy day like it's going to rain in that pic and I'd say it resembles the real thing well.

Did you notice that it seems that it should be himself in the jumbo screen but the guy in the screen is wearing a helmit zoom in on pic.i doubt that its real time.and even if it is real time i hope they improve the gameplay.but if madden doesnt pull those screens off in real time its only a matter of time.when the first xbox cameout look at the difference today it only gets better.

It would definitely be to EA's advantage to really do a good job on the engine for this Madden because they're probably going to be using it for the 360 versions of the next 10 or so Madden releases.

It doesnt only look better it plays better to..you can challenge a play online and even if your not a fan of it but the replay is cool especially that your oponent has to wacth if you want or something as small as the halftime show at least its there if you want it..notice that the halftime show offline is realtime wouldnt it be nice to see that on the 360

They took risk and i respect them for it.

The worse thing is that we wont see the 2k football for some time..but if or when it does move out the way madden unless you improve your engine i wont ever play again..

Since the 2K crew has a better design team than EA games has, then yes, I believe 2k5 will look better than madden. Also, since all EA games look like crap compared to other games. If EA picked up a different designing team, they'd be a lot better in terms of graphics.

Anyone realize that Lord of the Rings, Jedi Academy, and Fantastic 4 have the exact same graphics and gameplay - shows you a hint of how lazy EA is.

I think its mostly just EA's sports departments...

Burnout and NFS games look just as good as other arcade racers on the Xbox, they're not the BEST but they're definitely no where near the worst either.

SSX looks great too... Some will disagree but I like the way SSX looks and plays better than Amped.

I can't comment on their action/adventure games as I've not played any of them though they do seem to sell very well and fetch fairly good scores in reviews (then again so does Madden ).

judging by pics alone NFL2k5 looks great compared to madden 360. i think the difference will be seen when both games are viewed in motion. i loved 2k5 and will probably be the last football game i ever buy but i dont think that in the end madden 06 will look anything less then next gen.

and carlo with how much EA has hyped up how much they are taking advantage of the next gen graphics, i dont think that they are basing next gen madden on current gen hardware. If they can put the same kind of detail and effort in madden as they are putting into fight night 3 then it will look great. however they are also the ones releasing tiger woods and that game looks like ass.

The only games that impress me from ea is ssx tricky and if you like baseball games MLB is better than 2k5..wow that was hard to admit but at least im honest.


I would love to see another 2k football series bad they should try at least. cant they make a game and not use the N.F.L i would still buy and play it anyways it would be nice it gets old when people only use new england atlanta and phily like crazy i always pick the underdogs..they should make the game make you create a profile edit player names uniforms facemask all the goodies and make you go thru traning camp create your playbook if you want and that should do it..

every time i play a football game i customize the uniform facemask with a shield it would be nice to customize online with your own custum player.

First of all, since it isn't out yet, how can you be so over-confident that it will own NFL 2k5?
Second of all, we know theg ame will suck because 'EA Sports' games never change. Madden on the 360 will play the same as Madden on the Xbox. Since Madden on the Xbox sucked compared to the 2k football games on the Xbox, we basically know (99%) that the 2k football game will be better than MAdden on the 360 for the same reasons.

what pisses me off is that the only 2 games we could chose from for the Dew giveaway were both EA titles

i thought we were comparing the graphics. majority of the people here already agreed that the gameplay of 2k5 kills madden, its the graphics of the pic comparison that was at debate here. i cant believe im siding with EA here but i dont think that in motion and when finally shown in person that 2k5 will look better then madden 360.

EA has a track record of NOT putting any effort into their games, graphically.

And from any pics Ive seen, the Maddens on xbox couldnt compete with the others, graphically.

If EA had a track record of actually tapping into the hardware and using it, then Id say the pic in question isnt even close to what the 360 can do.

But because I feel Madden on xbox didnt even come close to touching what the xbox could do, graphically, theres no reason to think otherwise concerning the 360 version. Use the least amount of effort possible, test it, and get it out the door for shipping. Thats EA's reputation, and its noones fault but their own.

I was looking at a new madden pic that people were getting excited about. Then I looked at a game I already have and noticed it looked better than this "new" madden pic

I'm not as impressed by Madden on 360 as I once was... well, as excited as I can get about a football game. It just doesn't scream out to me "must have". I enjoy a little gridiron with friends, but it just doesn't quite have its hand in my pocket. I have very little faith in EA sports (FIFA was ruined after Fifa '95) anymore and I'm hoping Konami doesn't let me down with WE9.

If anyone here saw g-4 tv last night they were saying how madden has to be the best football game of 06 because there was no one to compete with anymore and that the game is the same with minor changes to game play no grapic improvement


they went on to say how madden copied the maximum passing the trucking people from 2k also the crib mode aspect and they said that at least it was better than last but many people are complaining about that its to hard and boring that its way to sim

i dont agree with the sim part i rented it because 2 years ago i said id never buy madden again because it got old fast and that is not a sim you cant challenge on-line and that fair play crap is dumb on 4th and inches in their goal-line you caant go for it.......what a joke madden...fans..the only reason its so popular is all the publicity it gets by players in the N.F.L and madden challenges

I doubt that madden will come tru for 360 they have let me down way to many years it would have to be a totally new engine the controls would have to respond better....shame on you madden.....(ea)
