Ive been searching this site for a while now and im getting a little bummed out. my xbox is experiencing the coma effects, wont boot up, send a signal to television, or open the disk tray. it is a 1.2 version. id like to fix it myself instead of paying $100 to have someone else do it. However, with all the amazing info on here, im still a n00b in many ways so i need a sligltly more lamens terms explanation of what i should do. can anyone help me out with this?

what exactly happens when you try to turn on your xbox? Are their any error screens and what color does the led turn on in the front? If it doesn't turn on at all then you probally have a dead power supply . Please explain in the greatest detail possible what is wrong .
