If I had an unlocked harddrive and a locked harddrive with softmod, is there a way using the EEPROM to
1) Add required softmod files to unlocked
2)Lock hdd

This way I will not have to get a new modchip.
It's been a WHILE since I've been in the softmod scene. My XBMC says it's a 12-11-2003 build XD

I understand that the xbox hd rescue whatever loader can do step 2 but can I put transfer files onto the hard drive?

Backup the eeprom from your softmodded xbox and FTP it to your PC.

Download Xboxhdm and get a fresh copy of the m$ dash files (try Slayer's).

Using Xboxhdm, you will be able to format and build (and even softmod) a new xbox hard drive.
Use the backed up eeprom (the one you FTP'd to your PC) to lock your new hard drive to your xbox.
