The Highlited are is the soldered points of the controller wirethat goes from the xbox controller port to the back of the scontroller going onto the controller circuit board simply take your dvd male plug in and solder the correct colors to the correct solder points by referencing the back of the contoller board like the pic below

then once sodered run along the usb wire along the side of the memory card holders and dremel a notch out of the top part of the memory card holder big enough to slide your usb wire inbetween the hole put case back to gether and get a usb extention cable and your good to go after installing the proper drivers for the controller to work on pc or simply plug the controller into the xbox without the usb connected to the pc and ure good to go

Now heres 2 pics of my controller(sorry about the quality My camera/video phone is all i have available to me right now )

Looks Pretty Damn good lloking In My opinoncompared to sum of the ones i seen like for instance the people do the same thing i did but instead of soldering it to the controller part they do it to the end of the dongle where it plugs into the xbox by drilling a hole thru the thumb groove and running it out of the hole

anyways

the reason i went with the short chord on the usb is i didnt want 2 long chords hangin down when im playing xbox so i just decided it would be easier to hook up a usb extension to the usb plug when im at the computer when its needed

Thanks For Lookin At This and while i know its not the best Tut Maybe Sumone Well Find it useful for them and make one of these them selves beerchug.gif

you should use one of those retractable USB cables, if it will fit in the controller case that is.

good idea but i dont think it would fit lol but anyways it took all of 5 min to cut the usb cable to size i think its 4 inches maybe less maybe more then i stripped the 4 wires inside of it just enough to soder it to the points dremel the small u shape into the memory card holder thing then put it all back together over all i say its great i can use it as a action replay or a pc controller and use it on my xbox beerchug.gif

Looks clean me likey .

Why not two usb ports ? Kinda makes no sense to only have one considering a keyboard and mouse work so much better than one or the other .

Check Mine out . Sure you lose the functionality of one of the memory card slots , but who needs more than a headset anyway ?
stephenstashko
Not to dump on your mod but why not just have one or two usb sockets in one of those memory slots on the controler?

It would look stock but with your ports hidden and I slot still free for something else! smile.gif
I just think it would be a little cooler, probably alot harder, but cooler.

Thats just my opinion anyway, dont mean to offend. beerchug.gif

looks clean. if you'd use it, its a damm good idea.

well adding a cable for usb isnt exactly done a heel of a lot (like that atlest).

so its good to see people take the initave and do things their own way. clear a path for others ect.
blue bandicoot
oohhh, i misunderstood you, haha....so yeah, it is good to see.

the way i did mine was i cut the part that plugs into the xbox.(i bought an xtra from gamestop) then took a usb cable. cut one end off of it. soldered the wires together then heatshrink wraped the splice. and presto u have usb end that plugs into ur controller for pc play or use your other end to plug into xbox... u didnt mention tho that u have to get the drivers for it to work on ur pc. and the ones i finally found that works was xbcd. i never had to open my controller up.

read it. the colour tag has no end, so its just there

and i think you will find that the rules stipulate that you can have a max of four lines of text

isnt it kinda annoying having to hold ur controller up to the computer (and if u dont have USB ports in the front of the comp, have fun)

I said you would have to use a usb extension cable to work withit or maybe 2 of em if u need that long of a chord like this

And For The Person who said i didnt mention you need drivers i said it at the very end of the post

And To Who Said i need 2 one for a keyboard and stuff thats a usb port in mine arent for hooking stuff into the controller mines a usb out so i can plug it into usb port(computer)

To the people who liked it and said it was sort of original thanks alot i like how i did it this way i have 2 functioning slots one for headset one for memory card
and I can use this as a pc pad or for my homemade action replay and for just a regular controller

sorry about not knowing all the names i just did my best to answer all the questions withought having to quote every singke person
laxdrummer04
i dont know if this has been said, but why not use the female end of the cord, and make it sit flush up against the controller case, then you can get a male to male usb cord, and use that for the cord to your comp, it will make it look more neat, but it does look good, better than most ive seen
stephenstashko
Yeah, I already suggested that,

but to do it in one of the memory slots on the front of the controller. smile.gif
