i'm new at this stuff i havent even cracked open my box but i was wondering if some one could take the time to teach me and also pretend i dont know anything about tecknology when talking to me.

No need to if your knowledge of how to word a post is on the same level as your technical knowledge.
Always have a look round the sections in the forum and read the pinned topics and the main tutorials section.
The wealth of info here could turn you into very knowledgeable Xbox modder without even having to make one post.

well not realy i'm not that great with general stuff like just look over there i need something that will tell me exactly how to start and how/why they work like that but once i get these things i can come up with some realy cool stuff

u can soft modd ur xbox which nvr requires u to open the box and can be done quite easily
Or u can chip it , buy mod chip which bypasses xb normal instructions

What are you trying to do? also you joined at 6:31 and posted at 6:40, that's not enough time to read anything. Look around some more and get a better idea of what you want to do. Then instead of asking a question that's been asked a million times before use THIS or read a couple of pages here in the newbie forums.

well i would have just soft modded because its easyer but i woulb like to chip it because it would give for more options and i have been poking around here and other places for a couple weeks

and i have some ideas that no one else has seemed to have had that i think would be real good. for example i was thinking i could take a shadow (halo2 ground transport on outskerts) and redo some of it untile i can make a moble fort for MP/mechinima

Maybe you should mod the box first and take things one step at a time instead of goin, "omg, I'm gonna do this and this and this, but I don't know how to open an xbox yet"

halo 2 modding stuff is just not allowed here, in any form, idea or not.

but back to the point, you need to start in the tutorial section, where you can learn everything you need to know. and you havent really specified what you want to know, so no one can actually tell you.
