My first post here, sorry if it is in the wrong forum.

Alright I got my XBOX networked properly, I think. I have been able to tranfer skins and a few mp3's and avi's from my pc hard disk. But some of my movies and songs just won't work. The bottoms window on FlashFXP reads "150 Opening data channel for file transfer" next line reads "450 cannot access file." This is confusing to me since the files that did work are so similar to the ones that won't.

Help is greatly appreciated.

Are there some "weird characters" in the names of the songs and movies in question? Or, are they really long? Also, is there enough space on your Xbox HDD?
Do you have sufficient rights to acces the file on your PC (can you open in in windows media player?)?

I renamed the file and it works now! My hero!

I just installed a nic card to network my xbox but for some reason it still won't work
i have a router coming in a couple days is that a lot easier

all i wnt to do is put a new skin on evox

I never used the direct PC-to-Xbox method with a c/o cable, but from my experiences in using a router, I can easily say that it's been painless and fast.
