ok i got a 1.0 modo from a guy

i got 3 mod chips

x2.2pro,x.2.3bpro, x2.6

ont he x2.xpros they fraged when booted so i was thinking it was just the flash so i said fuckit and out my x2.6 in there

the x2.6 was flashed and working in my 1.4

now what the fucked up part is

it boots fine all the time with the chip off

then i boot off the chip.... frag why is it doing this guys

help me out

check your D0 wire, this is a commen problem for fragging on chips. I know i had a crappy spidermod and i had to hold down one side to get it to work, try wiggling it disconnecting it and reconnecting it. and everything inbetween.

ok i will try it on the top see if i can get any thing i will get back with you thanks

d0 shoul dbe ok since tis fragging (d0 forces the boot to adifferent area, if d0 was bad it woudl still boot normal with chip enabled)

instead check your LPC soldering, thats more liekly where the problem lies

Agreed, ive seen this on a few consoles, check your soldering on the LPC (quite likely to be the fault) or check the voltages on the LPC according the tut on the homepage and you'll probably find you have a problem just there, post back your results and either i or some one else may be able to help.

Good luck beerchug.gif

Does the chip still have the black double sided tape stuck on one side? If so try removing and look at the traces on the chip. I had to do a D0 trace repair on a X2.2 before because the person trying to do the install fried the D0 connector on the chip. The trace was under the black tape and was not noticeable so the box would frag when he tried to boot from the chip.

Good luck

EDITS for spelling..
