I have a V1.0 Xbox with an 8gig seagate HDD. I was messing around in Evox one day (Xbox modded with MechAssault exploit) and I saw the option "Unlock Harddrive". Wandering what it would do, I pressed a and it unlocked my harddrive. I was thinking that I would probably have to turn off my Xbox to see any changes. When I turned it back on, it gave me an Error 5. I tried starting it up with mecassault to load up my boot save and fix it. I coulden't. I fould out how bad what I had done was and I found out I would have to get a chip to fix it. So I was wandering if there was any way to relock it with out a chip? (P.S. I don't have the EEPROM key or whatever it's called)

did you ever do a backup in evox? if so you cna use xhdm to browse for a retrieve your eeprom.bin

if you never did a backup you need a modchip

Yes, I belive it's in my C:/ and my E:/ drive. But how would I go about doing this?

use xhdm with your PC, you should be able to retrieve the eeprom backup and generate the password to relock the im not 100% on the procedure since i deal mostly with hardmods, someone else hsould come along and be able to provide more specific guidance

if u dont want a chip or cant figure out xbox_HDM 1.9 then ill fix it free if you pay for shipping(i did this once, took a hell time to fix cause i was hard to figure out that program, now i have a mod chip that i love,lol)
