Ok, I modded my xbox over 2/3 years ago. I have an Xecuter2 with evox. I never did anythign with it much, but now I am getting back into it.
When I burn an ISO to my DVD+R, the xbox will not read it. boXplorer can't see anything on the disk. So I then extracted the iso to my pc harddisk, and burned a DVD data cd. Same thing, boXplorer sees nothing (I figured this wouldn't work).
My xbox cdrom is a Samsung 605b. Im using a new burner and new discs to burn. I use Nero. Should I be using DVD-R? Would slowing down the burning make it work? Is there anyway to test so I dont keep wasting DVD+R's?
Also, I know this has been covered numerous times but, I'll ask while I'm at it. Is it better to use CDR or CDRW (same thing with DVDR and DVDRW). And which brand has been known to work the best.
Thanks for the help!

· Try using DVD-R.
· If you still want to use DVD+R, make sure your burner supports bitsetting.
· PC DVD ROM can't read xbox discs... are you trying to create the ISO using your PC's DVD drive?
The way to create ISO's would be to stick the game in the xbox, FTP into your xbox and transfer the game files into a folder onto your PC.
Use Qwix to create an ISO of the files, then burn with Nero.

chances are its not reading it because its +R media.. try bit setting it to DVD-ROM
samsungs are the only drive that have serious problems with +R media.

Can I change the Bitsetting in Nero, or is it a firmware hack?
