I am trying to transfer the backups off of my Xbox HD onto my computer using FTP. It goes really, really slow, at around 30kb/s (which is strange because it never used to do this). However, uploads to my Xbox still work normally. Any idea what's causing this?

Look at the settings of whatever FTP client you are using and make sure there is not a limit of some sort for DL'ing.

There isn't, this happens on all clients, and also this doesn't happen when downloading off of my website's ftp.

Maybe its a dashboard or firewall issue. Could also be transferring ver small files...which does usually take a lot of time.

Well, it's not small files (I tried transferring a 150 meg video file, same slowness). Not a dashboard issue, because it happens in my bios FTP server and my dashboard FTP server. And I'm not sure if it's a firewall issue, how would I check that?
(the strange thing again is that uploading to my Xbox works perfectly)

Thanks, I just read through your guide, and I changed it from Full to Half duplex and that fixed it! Thanks a lot!
