I remember posting up my dads 92' mustang, but that wasn't near finished. So, I give you some pics of it 98% done. Hoping to make 800-1000hp. Just needs an alignment and a few other misc things. And yes, this car will be street legal:

If anyone wants specs PM me or just ask in this thread.

And my 84' mustang which I just got last sunday. Dad payed for it but I get to pay to fix it up (needs a few misc engine parts replaced, paint job, clen-up/tune-up, etc.). I also get to pay for gas and possibly somewhat of the insurance so Im not one of those 16 year olds who gets his/her car and gets it payed for him/her dry.gif .

Ill have some more pics when we trailer it home this sunday (yes, it starts/drives it just wont drive that far yet. has a coolant leak somewhere)

i could spend hours driving around in this thing.. so much fun. hopefully we'll be getting her out this weekend for some more practice (during the day this time) and my bud can get some pics of her going sideways. if so, i'll be sure to post a couple beerchug.gif

yo owtlaw how much did you end up paying on that bmw.... i know some1 looking to get 1 and was interested to see how much you paid.

$15k w/ 73k miles from a dealer. I dunno where you live, but if ur in SoCal you shouldn't have a problem finding one. Fairly easy pickin's if ur not too picky about what you want. Otherwise juss look around and eventually something pops up.
jesterrace777
Well, it's official. I just sold my RX-7 for $2400. Right about time too. My newly purchased '97 Saturn SL2 will be in the shop for a bit getting an engine rebuild. sad.gif Anyways here is the current car, not nearly as flashy but certainly more practical for day to day driving:

Two...at the same time? Just one is too hot to handle! laugh.gif

But as an 'update', I have some time and extra money to blow, so I'm painting the Citation in a taxi cab theme, complete with the black and white checkered pattern. Of course, I won't start a taxi business, but I think I'll find the look humorous.
jesterrace777
@granulated. You drive that sucker around with a suicide door? You are nuts. blink.gif As for the DOHC, I figured yours would already have it. Despite the trouble with my SL2, thankfully it does have the DOHC engine in it so I don't get run over by Semis when getting on the freeway.

lol, everyone's jealous of the 3rd door...

I figured when I bought the car that the SOHC engine would suffice...just need something slow to keep me out of trouble, and reliable, to get me through college...

Eh, I really miss two cams.
jesterrace777
Damn, I wonder how you get around. Mine has the DOHC and it still isn't very powerful. of course that could have something to do with my engine not functioning properly.

About £1050 but no non-cliams and first year so it will drop in 2 months to about £800 - £900 biggrin.gif

Had to get my baby repaired at the back end, some twit in a landrover reversed and crunched the back end up with his high toebar grr.gif . but get his insurance details and he has payed for it happy.gif so alls good

There's no need to be jealous. I didn't buy the Tacoma in the pic. And Im not trying to show off it's bed space. Actually Im buying the bike IN the bed of the truck. I know, it's easy to miss if you look at the pic quickly, but there is a motorcycle there.
xboxhackern00b
The colors are nice for the bike. how much are you paying for it?
Rylinkus

It's a 97 YZF (In case you cant read the side)
It has a few minor scrapes, but or the most part is in good shape. Mechnically its near perfect minus needing front brake pads, and maybe a new front tire before too long.

i was talking about the bike itself.. those yzf's are some sweet bikes. my boss is looking to get a motor for one and build it up for his drag quad. either that or he's gonna bone up and go busa.. but that'd prolly kill him laugh.gif

Honestly I wanted a GSXR. But I have been shopping for 2 months. And while Im sure Id find one eventually I no longer can justify wasting my Sundays driving 3 hours to look at bikes that are misadvertised. (See the last post in my bike thread to understand). While Im sure I could have found a slightly better deal, at what cost in gas or time wise? I spent over 100 bucks last Sunday between gas in my truck and road food/drinks. All to look at a 97 GSXR that turned out to be a 95 Katana. So while I might be able to find something a bit better for my money, how much would I waste in doing so. The YZF was actually the 3rd option on my list. But it's an OK deal and mechnically sounds. And Im sure itll be plenty fun wink.gif

anyone wanna start a pool on how long Ill havea licsense?

Im gonna buy a helmet..... And try to be careful.

I'm supposed to go actually BUY the bike today. Officially hand over cash and get a bill of sale and such. I'm having a few second thoughts. Mainly I'm sketched out about the transmissions in the YZF. God I hate decisions.

just remember, you dont see any old guys in those stunt bike videos, 1 because they die early, or 2 they grow up. Be careful, my friend just got his bike, at first was extremely cautious, now hes experimenting with wheelies hitting 120+, and watching too many damn trick videos. fear and caution will save you one day

cant wait till i got the $$$ to buy my bike biggrin.gif

Im not going to be doing wheelies. Sorry, but it's just friggin stupid. I may go fast, but Ill try to be on TWO wheels.....

The bike I boughts been down doing a wheelie. My bud Keiths dumped twice attemping wheelies. My bud Jeff is missing parts of his face from doing a wheelie. I like my face. The bike may help me pick up chicks, but I think having a face is nearly as important. Ill stick to 2 wheels.

I like that a lot. Very nice looking ride. What are the specs on that thing, as we dont get anything like that in the States?

Any interior pics?
jwin767

the specs are (copy and pasted from manufacturers site):

Make: Vauxhall astra
Model: 1.7 DTi 16V Club 5d
BHP: 105
Top speed: 127 mph

the tires make driving this thing a DREAM it sticks like glue, you can feel the turbo kick in when it peaks and gives it that extra va va vroom. the inside is roomy and comfy seats makes this just that little bit better

nothing sweeter than off-roadin with your new wheels wink.gif

next step.. drop that bitch!
Larrimus
You got that right, it does have a bit of a 4x4 look with all that wheel gap. As soon as the wheels are paid off, I'm gonna drop it with Koni Yellows and B&G springs. Should give me a better stance with a bit of a handling boost.
ubernewb
good choice.. i had yellows on my crx and my mx-6 and i loved them. no experience with b&g though, but we just started carrying them at the shop so it shouldn't be too long before i've put some in

How old are you for that priced insurance?

Nice looking car, you need to lower it though, get those wheels well in the arches on the back end and the front can be dropped a nice ammount too, then you'll notice some difference on handling. Ive always liked the Astra MK 4 in white, the one i have is red but it looks great when cleaned with the black trim.

My brother has a corsa with some 17" limited edition chromed momo WRS wheels, they are real nice, hes dropped it about 60mm on the back and i forget what its down to on the front now because its adjustable, the arches needed modding though cause the wheels were scrapping pretty bad with only 2 people sat in!

We have a Astra 51 reg SRI also, now thats pretty fast, but its done a fair few miles now, hoping to sell this soon and get a Civic Type R rolleyes.gif

Please excuse how dirty it is.

Stock 1996 Chevy Impala SS w/ a 350 Small Block LT1 (Covettes predescesor). It wouldnt be real stock if I didnt keep having problems w/ it... Planned upgrades currently in-clude:
Slight Lowering
Ported and polshed TB and heads
Beefed up MAF from a late model F-Body (to match the TB)
GM Performance Parts LT4 Hot Cam
New gears (jsut some slight ones, to help with acceleration, as the cam is set up for more top end power)
New exhaust, or at least some headers to get some better flow to match the port and polishing

And just a few more upgrades for little things to help with handling, steering, braking, etc etc

My trucks still in Florida, so I cant grab any pics of it. Oh well, no one wants to see that POS anyways =P

I too like those body styles. Gotta love the SS. The new ones are just horrible though. Chevy just has the worst cars now, it's rediculous. GM needs ta get it's act together, cuz I can't stand seeing Ford on top (although they're having issues too, lol)

Eww... aside from a set of Cragar racing wheels, I wouldnt put anything but stock on my baby.

And the new Impalas arent to bad, they have front wheel drive, so I'll hold that against them. But the power they have otherwise? It shouldnt have been called an Impala, but neither should the new GTO's (have been called GTO's). But they are still nice cars.

jesterrace: I lucked out with this car, my dad had a 'good year' in business and was able to loan me the cash to buy it, I've since, nearly, got it payed off.

But I get what you're saying, I hate those kids, one kid at my school has 2 BMW's, not one, but TWO. And he owns them both, parents bought them for him of course...

IPB ImageThis is the jeep were fixing up, it looks kinda shitty in this picture, but this is from last december. It has a custom flame paint job (which wasnt on the doors and hard top at the time as you can see), and a 6" lift kit. and the tires are 36's (although 33's in this pic)

The frame is from an old military truck that was shortened and then the jeep body was put on it
Also, in this pic, it has an inline v6, but now it has a 350 in it.
Nothing can stop this beast when it gets going, although it has a top speed of 100 kph smile.gif

Also, I have a 1982 kawasaki 440 ltd motorcycle with a rebuilt engine, and new paint job, but i cant find any 440's that do mine justice, so i have no pic sorry

Also, the jeep stands about 7-8 feet high, and look how much ceiling room our garage has, talk about overkill!
xboxhackern00b
a couple pages back i posted pics of my friends brand new 2006 Lancer Evo IX which was about 36,000$ and his best friends supra both nice cars but neither of them talk shit or think their car is the best they're just very fortunate my first car is a piece but it runs so that all i care about
