OK I just opend up an ISO I made of a game I own and I wanted to pull some of the files off of it but instead I am confronted with a .dat file that is 200+ megs big. I have tried all of those .cue creators so that I can burn it to a disk but I don't think that my settings are set right.
Has anyone had this problem with those files? Any successful openings?

its probabaly just a big chunk of raw data that you cant really do anything with unless you know what files are n it and where each file is, you really cant go by extension because every dev might make the file differently

But this is not made by a dev it is made by M$. Does that make a difference.
Also, is it against the rules to talk about the XDK in these forums?

dev = game devoloper that made the game.

OK basicaly it's the XDK recovery disk and it has all of the dash files stored on this .dat file. I can install itself but I think it has to install a debug bios and knowing M$ it will go on my tsop if I run it (I think).
If it DOESN'T flash any BIOS I would love to install it. Does anyone know how to get those files off of that .dat file?

just write protect your TSOp and/or modchip and see what happens

I have an Xecuter 3 CE, will it avoid my tsop?
How do I write-protect a untouched TSOP?

an untouched TSOP IS write protected
and with modchip enabled nothing can touch the TSOP anyway
