Hi can anyone out there help me. I baught a xecuter2 chip got ripped off the guy only flashed my bios.
Found out the other day when got some mates to put in a switch to turn chip on and off. The barstard just removed the two screws at the bottom and put em back in to remove xbox warranty.

I have a green version 1.5 Xbox and want to reflash the ms dash bios back on over the evox bios so I can play on live because, I just got 2 xlive account so want to be able to use em and can't afford new xbox.

Please help I dont know software that well and I'm really worried about f*ck*ng it up. Can someone please guide me

Well lets just be clear on this. He removed the screws, put them back in, and did a Tsop/softmod? Anyone on XS?

Yep he TSOP/softmod flashed the bios and replaced with evox. I have cleaned up the hard drive so has ms dash and all the regular files, which cuases it to bring up the evox dash error page. But need steps for flashing bios myself to get rid of last illegal piece. One friend said try using raincoat, which I have downloaded but I'm not familiar with it.

well to get one thing straight, a TSOP flash a softmod are two different things

if he did the TSOP flash he ddint just pull the case screws out for no reason, you do have to go in there and solder



anyway, what you need to do to get it back is get a eurasia flashdisc, and replace the bios on the disc with retail 5101 (from usual places) and then put it in your xbox, it will load and flash the bios

make sure you use 5101, a retail kernel from the wrong version can and will FRAG your xbox


once thats done you can install a chip or softmod or whatever you want to do with it

Deffinately no soldering done to xbox had my technician mate check it but bios was flashed. He said he thinks the guy did it through linux mech assault hack or sommin like that. Any other ideas??

He has not flashed the TSOP without soldering the points together. Its not possible as lordvader said.
So either your technician mate did not look in the correct place or the points were cleaned up real well or you do have a softmod.

the pojnts to solder are 2 very small bridges, easy to overlook if you dont know what your looking at, if soldered cleanly enough they can look liek they are supposed to be joined

also, they may have been cleaned up and solder removed afterward
