i am having troubble running my Apple ][ roms (captian goodnight and loderunner)

ive checked the faq's from xport's site, but no help.
when i load a rom, the emu loads a screen that looks like its full of @@@@@@@.
then it goes to the apple cmd prompt.

any ideas? TIA.
