ok i have a wireless router to my pc and downstairs i have another wireless router setup for the xbox .i can play music from the pc on my xbox but cant connect to xbconnect.is it possible to do this or am i way off here.thanks

thanks,but i dont have a pc downstairs,just the xbox .it works for everything else as far as WORKGROUP AND SHARING but not xbconnect

so basicly the xbox has to be wired to the pc in some way either through a router or direct.it cant be just connected to a router that is setup as an access point,is that correct

Ya, depressingly the XBOX needs to be slaved to a computer, I've heard spotty reports here and there of people getting it to work wirelessly, but nothing confirmed or duplicated. The PC can be wireless and be situated anywhere, then you can hook up a router to that pc and plug the xbox into the router , or plug it directly into the pc via crossover cable. It's kinda lame but it does work, that's the setup I use at my house.

Yepo if you use crossover to a laptop and the laptop is wireless that'll work just fine
