that's not really what I meant :/

are you using a TV ? i guess so since you dont want to / cant use a receiver to change bass settings.
i highly doubt the tv would be able to produce more bass then its doing at the moment anyway.

i just use my dolby decoder and receiver, works fine...i could add more bass that way, but it isnt really needed wink.gif

my advice, if you really care about the sound coming out of your box, get some nice equipment. maybe one of those creative or logitech speaker sets. those produce some nice sound (good enough for gaming) and aren't that expensive i believe.

I'am using my sterio system.

Much like there are not bass controls on your DVD player, there are not bass controls on your XBOX. dry.gif

I guess there are bass controls on his Xbox than, since I have seen plenty of DVD-players with bass controls. dry.gif

If you forgot: it are the DVD-players which have an internal 5.1 decoder + analog outputs for it, often sold with a 5.1 speaker-set. They are, however, normal DVD-players.

No that is an amp with an integrated DVD player. Your amp has bass controls, and happens to be in the same package as your DVD player.

The thing is that I use the same sterio system to my pc as for my xbox. And in windows I can customize bass, volume and more stuff how come I can't on xbox?

Simple, the software (game/dash/etc) you are running on your xbox does not have the code necessary to make such adjustments. The fact that you use the same sound system for both devices makes no difference. Do you think Windows is controlling the settings on your stereo? Its not. Its modifying the data stream before the signal hits the D/A converter.

If your reciever does not have any adjustable eq settings, you may consider purchasing an external equalizer to place inbetween your xbox and reciever.
