I believe that GTA SA just notices that and deletes the files for the space for GTA3.img

The chache drives are 700 MB a piece and the gta3.img is about 650 MB, you do the math.

I don't think it'll cache the file or most likely crash since error messages don't exist on the xbox, we're not going to see "The file gta3.img is too large for Y:\, please reduce the file size and try again" even that's not realistic since they never make error messages for errors that can't occur.
A crash is most likely unless it works out beforehand that it's too big or splits it so that it's copied to the other drives but I don't think the games clever enough to figure it out so it'll crash.
I say you try it and see if it crashes, but make sure that the gta3.img file actually loads before going over the size of the cache drive.

No whoever told you that was lying or didnt know. M$ sets up the partitions and they cant be changed or it wont boot the only partitions that can be changed in size are F:\ and G:\
Alright i tryed this out i filled up Y: X: and Z: with just cached crap and what GTA did was go to Y: and just delete the files and then put on gta3.img

That still doesn't answer the question, what happens if gta3.img is too big to fit on one of the cache partitions, think it's 768MB.
We already know that previously cached files from other games are deleted to make space for new cache.
