unscrew your xbox and open it. remove the harddrive and the dvd drive and you will forsure see the chip at the top left corner of the motherchip. make sure you remove all the screws from the xbox, dont force it, if it wont open look for more screws that you may have overlooked.

Open it.

--- that's pretty much about it.. unless you can boot to something like x3 config live holding white button when you boot.... But chances are you probley dont haev an x3.. Do you have a switch on the outside of your box to disable and enable it?

i serached the net and by the picture I found out that chip is called Enigmah [here the LINK to it, but the chip on image doesnt have print like it.. but the info is similar]

but for now I didn't found some "real" infos about it sad.gif

my main question is can I put Slayer's Installer or something like that on my XBOX ? what can I actually do with this chip?
Albino
He says its on the bottom, so it sounds like another 29 wire chip to me. If it is a 29 wire it will either want replacing with a newer chip like a Duox2 or the TSOP flashing which is pretty straight forward with a 29 wire chip.

EDIT: Ok its an enigmah then, if you can solder, i would flash the TSOP with it, have a look in the TSOP forum for more information on flashing with a 29 wire chip.

It should be able to load slayers but really it is pretty outdated and the bios cannot be reflashed, which means all games backups will have to be patched, I would do some sort of update on your system such as a newer chip or TSOP flash.

yup... its 29wire chip...
soo... I have to look for TSOP flashing.. I'll find some infos and manuals about IT... but does that mean that I wont be able to "upgrade" my XBOX ??? only with new chip ??
Albino
What version xbox do you have, if its a 1.0 or 1.1 you can split the TSOP to act as an on off for a modded bios, also with the modded bios flashed onto the TSOP it has all the bennefits of a 3rd gen modchip, you can upgrade your HDD and pretty much most things you can do with a chip.
meischke
the version I have is v1.0..

Ill look some manuals... i'll try to find some manuals to do that with TSOP

but I must admit that Im pretty affradi smile.gif dont know why ... probablly not to screw things up smile.gif

thnx A lot smile.gif
