I have been running my xbmc with my component video cable with no problem at all. Then on day when i Logged in to xbmc the component video cables caused my screen to go funny. But works ok with regular cables. Any suggestions.

maybe your cables are messed up. in that case buy some new ones for $10. you might have set the xbox to 480p in which case you should change this in the settings by using your component calbes, loading the msdash and changing the video settings to disable the 480p.
