Tried to download stuff from xbins and things were tured around with logging on, etc. Very weird! So I went to their webpage ( www.xbins.org ) to see what kind of news, if any, was posted. Can't even pull up their homepage on my browser. Does anybody know what happened to xbins.org?

I can't say anything about their website cause I never visit it. If you're you're talking about downloading stuff from xbins I guess they changed their ftp site from xbins.distribution.org to an ip address. I had that problem today because I have it saved in site manager and just log on with it. I had to read the xbins message and set it up with the new information.

Ok. The same happened with me downloading from a IP address instead of xbins.distribution.org. (saved site). Maybe I'm a little bit paranoid after what I read on UIX homepage with other hacking individuals taking it over or something to that effect.
Don't want to download hacked homebrew software that'll 'F'up my box.

Yeah, my browser still can not pull up http://www.xbins.org. Never had a problem with it in the past. Go figure.

Xbins.org has NOT worked for me for a few days now. It just seems like it's down.

I thought maybe it was my peerguardian, since i just started using it, but it wasn't.

As far as using xbins through ftp, that still works fine. But xbins.org is great for searching, and i wish i could use it.

The DNS is down at the moment, so the host won't resolve.

The proper (xbins) staff are on the case.
