Hi, I've flashed my X-B.I.T. with the X2 4983 Bios no problem; and it comes up "XECUTER2" under the X on the flubber screen. I've burned the evolution X ISO onto a CD-RW and tried to install it onto my XBOX, but i keep getting the messege that the xbox doesn't recognize the disc that I put in. What the hell am I doing wrong? What am I not doing to get this to work? Please someone help. This is driving me nuts!!! grr.gif

Try burning it to a DVD-r/rw, some cd-rw cant be read in some xbox dvd drives.

I burned the ISO onto a DVD-R, no good. I get the same messege that the XBOX doesn't recognize the disc. WTF?

You might just have a particularly fussy DVD drive, is it a thompson?

Try +r or -rw

It's a samsung drive. From what I've heard, this is one of the more compatible drives. Here is a list of what I put in the ISO: the Bios folder, the Skins folder, a dummy 100MB file, evox.ini, and default.xbe. I used SimpleXISO to make the ISO, then I used Nero Burning Rom to burn it. Is there anything that I should/should not be putting in the ISO? Did I burn it the wrong way? Is there a specific version of Evolution X that I need to put in the ISO in order for it to run on the Xecuter2 4983 Bios? I am using the M7 version of Evolution X, that was the most recent version that I was able to get off of Xbins. Is that a problem?

Sounds like you are doing it all correctly - and yes, the samsung drive is the best drive you can get.

You say you are using evox M7 - that is a bios, not a dashboard.

You should use an Xecuter2 bios, and build 3935 of evolution-x dashboard.
