I have a stock xbox. Now when I turn it on it starts making a funny noise and then the red light starts flashing. A message on the screen says my xbox requires service and to call customer support. There is no number in the left upper screen. I called customer support, but all they want me to do is send it back along with like 90 bucks. What can I do about this? I am dying to play it again. Thanks for your help.

Also, for a while my xbox would say the disk is dirty and can not be read, but it would be a brand new game? What can I do about this?

yup i have the same problem after letting my son play with it. my fault
would it be a loose wire so i can solder it or will i have to send a way

mine was the dvd drive and i fixed its self dont know how but i am glad
