I did a search and I couldnt find any relevant topics maybe I wasnt using the correct terminology. Anyways, I recently installed my first mod chip and upgraded the hard drive. I loaded a bios, dashboard, etc. I ripped a couple of games. I go to play one game, and when I am done I want to be able to reboot to the dash w/o having to get up and turn my xbox on, off and on again to get back into the dashboard to play another game. On my friend's modded box he can simply pull both triggers and push down on both joysticks and it reboots back to the dash. How can I do this? I have evox as my dash but I use xbmc. Thanks for any help.

With most BIOSses, you can hold down the triggers and press both back and start at the same time to reload the BIOS and get back to your dashboard.

There are two options for IGR. One is through the dash, Evox has it on by default, but since you are running the game through XBMC it might not work
The better option, acording to most people is to have IGR turned on using your bios. Grab EVTool from the usual places and you can modify any (at least m8) bios to support IGR.
Open Evtool, open the bios you want to, in the top right corner there is an IGR method, choose one. Click save as and you have a bios with IGR. Now flash it, and you are set. Be careful when flashing, there is a tutorial in the bios section, under important links if you are not sure.
I did this last week took like 5 minutes, good luck.

Thanks for the ideas joyu.
I tried launching the games through evox rather than xbmc, no luck.
I looked at my bios w/ X2ool (evtool never worked for me), it had already been flashed w/ IGR checked.
No dice with Vayate's suggestion -- for xbmc or evox
Is there an alternate set of buttons I should press?
Other places to check for IGR?

What BIOS are you running? If you're running the latest X2 BIOS (which is the best imo), check your e:\x2config.ini file to make sure In Game Reset isn't disabled.

What version is your Xbox? Did you try it with a different controller or on a different controller port?

Well, I'm out of ideas. Sorry, mate. ._. Maybe you're just not doing it fast enough or something. IGR is a real trick at first.
