hi i have a moded spider chip xbox and got banned with my old hard drive(its a 2003 model) my friend has got a a 2001 model with an unbanned hard drive but its been runing on xbox live for 10 months.. if i cancel his account and create a new account on my modded xbox with his harddrive will i be able to use it.

You'll need a new EEPROM along with an unbanned HD and new gamer tag.

just to double check if i take my friends xbox hard drive that has been online but not banned and create a new gamertag and use it in my xbox it will work

yes as long as you also get a new eeprom

you can buy from from zodiiak in the buy/sell/trade forums here, and there are plenty of tutorials for flashing the new eeprom
