Hi,
I have been using my 1.0 Xbox for about a year now and its been awsome. Recently I have been encountering a bug. I have a X-chip installed with Firmware 1.3 with a 120gb hard.
Heres the problem:
At random times when i do a hard boot up. The xobx logo loads, the x-chip logo and the evo-x logo pop up but the X-chip inside logo doesnt come up. It freezes there and the light Flashes green. When i push the power button i can hear the HDD spinning and stuff working for like 5 secs, then it powers down. then i push the power button again and it will boot up correctly.
I have opened the box up and reset the chip several times but this doesnt seem to fix it. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mitchell

i was wondering if it had something to do with the HDD. Its slow, i have noticed load time of XBMC, and games is getting longer. Is there thing that should be done to he HDD to keep it working good. Like defrag? Should i wipe and clean the HDD?
Thanks for the relpy.

There is nothing you can do to the hard drive to make it work better,as far as I know.It took me a long time to figure out my 1.0 Three hard drives four dvd drives. If I was to start over I would go with a Samsung 200 gig hard drive and a Phillips DVD drive
