Couple of questions that I could do with answering

Firstly, I'm trying to setup my network settings so that XBMC can use the Weather Etc. This is my setup

PC
==

USB Broadband Connection (DHCP) (Firewall On, ICS On)

Network Card IP 192.168.0.1
Subnet 255.255.255.0
Everything Else blank
Firewall Disabled

XBOX (Settings in Dash(evoX))
====

IP 192.168.0.2
Subnet 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.0.1
DNS Blank

The 2 cards are conbnected via patch cables and a hub.

My XBMC Network Settings say to use the Default Dashboard Settings.

This isn't working - I came to the settings by following the guides posted in the Sticky at the top of the XBMC forum.

The second question is does anybody know how I can make XBMC load from boot if I hold down the right trigger on my Controller. I.e Keep evoX as my main dash but have an option to boot XBMC.

I've found the guides for setting XBMC as the main dash but that's not quite what I want.

cheers.

first thing you need to do if you are using ICS is to make sure you are using a crossover cable instead of a patch cable, try that and post back with results

What difference will that make ?

I don't believe that Evox supports this. You must be thinking of Avalaunch. The easiest way would be to just put a quick launch link in your Evox Dash.

EDIT:

That is the only cable you can use to have your Xbox and PC connected directly.

I'm sure I saw someone whilst searching these forums who had this setup. I could be wrong though I suppose. I'll explore Avalaunch, thanks.

Also, my XBOX and PC are connected via a Hub as previously stated.
