so im helping this guy get his xbox setup (you know, evox dash etc.). he got it modded by his friend (mod-chip), but doesnt know what kind (from what he told me it sounds like a matrix) and his bios is m8+, and I just helped him install evox through slayers. everything went well until it goes to the evox dash which works fine except he has no launch menu. all that he has is m$ dash, reboot, shutdown, system utilities, and backup (which is odd becuase i though it was under system utils). so, why would it display only those 5 options? I figured corrupted files or something to do with the .ini file. thats that, but he also wants his dash to be avalaunch. i figured to do it by ftp, but if he renames avavalaunch to evoxdash.xbe while evox is running, would it mess anything up? or is there someway else to do it? thanx in adavance beerchug.gif

im having the same issue someone care to help

if you boot from the slayers disk you'll be running from the cd, so that will solve the screwing with open files bit. Avalaunch can be installed i thought from slayers, but you should be able to do it from ftp also.

Happy hunting.

Ok, you dont have the Launch Menu Option..so why don't you just go to the .ini file and make sure there isn't a "#" (w/o ") beside the tag thats like umm I tihnk it should look sometihng like this-

Section "Launch Menu"
{
Section "Games"
{
AutoAddItem "e:\games\"
AutoAddItem "f:\games\"
SortAll
}

Make sure there isn't a # beside "Section "Launch Menu" " If there isn't then tell me. As for avalaunch from what i understand does he want both EvoS and Avalaunch? If so just get (I think its called) X Select (A usual place) or sometihng like that and all he has to do is either press like x for EvoX or b for Avalaunch at the begining (sp?)when the xbox starts up.
