guys i have a few modded and i find them easy to do now i want to soft mod a 1.6 box is there any tips
i have as follows
a smartxx chip
an aladdin chip
all cabbles
the soft mod i want to do requiers a chip to do it i guess to flash the bois
then i can remove the chip????????????
has any one heard of doing this?
i will have to fix the 1.6 mb by rewiring the lpc port please help if you can

Just get AID v2.11, install the chip (preferably with a solderless adapter for quick in and out), and install the softmods in the softmod section. Pretty easy.

EDIT: or since you don't have a solderless adapter, get a memory card, an exploitable game, and Krazies Ndure installer...since the cost of a mem card and an exploitable game is about the same price as a solderless adapter (at least on ebay). Then transfer Krazies Ndure to one of your modded xboxes, then tranfer it to the memory card (or use the action replay software to transfer it from the computer to the mem card). Copy the files to the nonmod xbox hdd, boot with the exploitable game and run the linux profile. It is pretty easy.

Definetly go the memory card way and Krayzies NDURE installer as noted above.
