QUAKE 4 Arrives for X360 Launch

November 11, 2005 - Add another title to your Xbox 360 launch library: Activision confirmed today that QUAKE 4 will ship on November 18, meaning the high-tech shooter will be in stores in time for the arrival of MS's new console.



In QUAKE 4, you are Matthew Kane, an elite member of Rhino Squad and Earth's valiant invasion force. Fight alone, with your squad, and in hover tanks and mechanized walkers as you engage in a heroic mission into the heart of the Strogg war machine. But in this epic war between worlds, the only way to defeat the Strogg is to become one of them. Battle through early missions as a deadly marine, then after your capture, as a marine-turned-Strogg with enhanced abilities and the power to turn the tide of the war.

QUAKE 4 also includes a complete version of Quake II, not only optimized for the Xbox 360, but supporting co-op and multiplayer via System Link and split-screen play

i was gonna say "im too busy playing the quake 3 homebrew port to give a crap" until i read the last part about quake 2 co-op!!!

although i dont mind lan, me and friends have a blast setting up 10 computers and 5 xboxes with quake 3!!!

The boss was thinking about firing us until i shot him the ass; he couldnt put the game down ever since.

When this comes out ill probably be playing coop with the boss........although im still gonna shoot him in the @$$

Wow. Ported with syslink. That is sweet. Maybe more and more games will support syslink on the 360. I don't feel MS knew how influential that has been for the Xbox. Hopefully this is a sign of more great things.
