ive got a 40gb IDE hdd in my computer well i filled it.. and im buying a 160bg hdd

this is my plan..

take my 40gb IDE hdd format put im my xbox
take me xbox 10gb hdd put it in my computer and loe my OS on it ONLY
put 160 gb in computer and keep it for everything

is this posible? is this a good idea?

and its possible, but if u wanna use ur xbox heavily as a media center and load a crapload of movies and games then either take that 160gb hd or get another
