I can not seem to get a new bios flashed. I have modded my xbox with the Duox 2 white version. I am quite sure I have a 1.6 version box (the cromwell bios displays the DVD-Rom as Samsung). As far as I know I have the chip installed properly because I get the blue Cromwell Bios to come up and I also can still play original games using the eject bottom.

The problem I'm having is that I don't think I'm getting the disc read. I've used a Sony CD-RW and a Khypermedia DVD-R with no luck. I downloaded the M8+16 used X2 bios manager to make it 512 mb file and burned it on the CD-RW and DVD-R with a dummy file. When I boot up I get to the cromwell screen and I choose to insert a cd and after I put the disc in it doesn't do anything.

Is this problem strictly a reading problem or am I doing something wrong?

Can I use the networking option that is available on the cromwell screen?
