I think Apoc meant for you to post it in your original thread, but no matter. You're pretty much running the default evox.ini with some changes made to the network settings.
Your skins should work fine with this evox.ini. Check to make sure your skins are in the right folder. Yes, I know you know about C:\Skin, but sometimes people archive their skins (on skin sites) without a folder. Check the skin.ini of a certain skin. Use chefelf's guide like you mentioned before, and make sure everything is in order. Make sure the picture names it looks for are in the corresponding location on your Xbox. Make sure your folder is named properly.
Let's say you downloaded a skin (called Popcorn Butter) that has three files: skin.ini, main.jpg, and loading.jpg. The skin.ini might instruct Evox to look for those picture files in C:\Skin\Popcorn Butter. If that folder doesn't contain those picture files, then it won't work. It also won't work if the folder is misnamed such as "Popcorn_Butter," or "PopcornButter."
My guess is that you've downloaded some crap (I.E., sloppily put together) skins that don't work. A lot of people make skins (or rather pictures), that look nice, but they know shit about skinning. They might sometimes not even bother to make a skin.ini for it. So yeah, the reason your skins aren't working isn't likely that it's a problem within Evox but rather with the skins themselves.

Should'nt his skin name and #skin name be the same?

# is used for remarks. It has a nulling effect on that line in the INI. When you type #, that tells Evox to ignore everything after that symbol in that line. It's so you can make a note of certain things to keep the INI organized.

I am guessing that isnt the problem as I have now downloaded over a hundred skins from various sites and not one has worked. Also all of the skins im trying to get to work have ini files that i edited using the tutorial. Thanks for your help, maybe theres another reason they dont show up in system utiliys/skin ? I know it isnt a problem with flashfxp all of my other transfers have worked.

Yes, that works just fine. I made two simple pictures for the main and for the loading. I saved the main screen pic as
gd_1.jpg and the loading as
gd_2.jpg. I also used that exact INI that you posted. I put all three files in a folder called
deadhead in C:\Skin.
Here is what it looks like:
Main Screen:

Loading Screen:

Let me know if that works for you.

At last I got all of them to work, I found 2 skin folders one must have been added by my friend who put evox on my system. once i moved them to the other folder and got rid of the empty one they all worked.
Thanks alot to you and apoc for all your help.
