My xbox seems unable to save the HDTV settings from the MS dashboard.
I believe I used the UXE method to softmod my box. The Evox is the bootup
dashboard. I set a link in the evox to execute the MS dashboard. After setup
HDTV settings (widescreen enable 480p 720p 1080i) in the MS dashboard, I
used IGR to go back to evox. Everything seems fine, I got high resolution with
widescreen. However, if I reboot the box, everything went back to the
low res. What am I doing wrong?

I'm actually having the exact same issue. Same exploit, same problem.
Does anybody have any ideas? I feel so helpless without the normal search this thread is all I could really find.

Well it writes those settinngs to the flash rom chip so it's possible your chip is toast, however, that is rare/unlikely.

The problem is that the EEPROM is write protected.
What I am doing to fix this when I get home is put the C drive back to retail, change the settings, and then reinstall the softmod.
