I got this thing from someoone on here, and got it, put it in my xbox ready to reformat and everything and it starts to overspin and whine very loud.

not sure whats wrong with it. I can turn it on its side and it will start to boot but then stop.

anyone know a way to fix this?? if so, Please PM me

The drive's bad. If you got it from someone off here, let an admin know and see if you can get your money back from the guy.. he obviously ripped you off on it, unless it was damaged in shipping.

well, I knew it had problems booting but not the sound.
