Do i have to be running Windows Media Center on my pc to stream video to my 360? I tried connecting to my pc, and the xbox gave me some sort of media center code!?!? I just picked it up yesterday so i didnt get to mess with it much yet. Its a core if that makes any difference, thats all i could get.
Yes, MCE is the only way to do video. You can do audio and pictures only with XP SP2.
