Hello all, I've been quietly making my own video skins, and have been impressed by the submissions on all xbox skins. I have seen a ghost recon, terminator 2 and other video skins that crop the video to the left or right, and was wondering if anyone could tell me how to do the same. as far as the overlays, I'm pretty sure I'm on my own with that (I'll have to spend some time with photoshop and after effects) I have a very nice bruce lee skin that I'm working on, but it could be so much better if I could crop it and add a photo overlay. Thanks in advance. btw I could send someone the zip it's only 12.8 megs.

Basically you just need to find some video editing software that will let you add black bars its that easy

ok, found out how to crop the vid with virtual dub mod. CAn anyone help me out with photoshop cs or after effects to make an overlay for the video? or point me in the right direction... thanks in advance.

Just make a transperant .png file in photoshop and then use unleashX to layer it on top of the background video

Oh and if you have after effects you could have used that to add the border if you want and layer the trasperant .png straight into the video file
Its hard to explain how to do it but if you play around you would get it eventialy

I got the inspiration from a skin that is on xbox skins. someon made a Bruce Lee skin, but used game footage for the background.... that's not a propoer tribute to Bruce! no offense to the guy who made the skin, I just thought I could do better. wish me luck!
I just comped photoshop cs2 and after effects, so I haven't even used them yet.
